Demi Moore’s new film divides opinion as viewers reveal they were left throwing up

Actress Demi Moore’s latest film, The Substance, has left audiences reeling. The movie — which stars Demi, who recently opened up about her  bizarre collection of oversized items and wowed fans with her ageless appearance — has set social media alight with a flurry of reviews, with some viewers admitting they can’t stop thinking about it, while others recount tales of their dates becoming physically ill after watching.
One viewer, Tara, revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that her date refused to let her drive him home after the film because he didn’t want to be sick in front of her. She shared: “My date wouldn’t let me drive him home after The Substance because ‘we haven’t been seeing each other long enough’ for him to throw up in front of me. He literally just walked home in the rain to vomit with dignity. Five star movie.”
Her date later texted her to apologize, but praised the film as “great.”He wrote: “Sorry for the quick goodbye! I barfed around the corner, but great movie.”
Tara shared the text, calling him “What a trooper.”According to The Sun, one movieoer reported: “At least 20 people walked out of my screening in Leicester Square before the end. It was brutal. Most people watched it through their hands. It was the most graphic film I’ve ever seen.”The film sees Indecent Proposal star Demi take on the role of Elisabeth Sparkle, an aging celebrity who resorts to a black market drug that creates a younger version of herself – played by Maid actress and daughter of Andie MacDowell and Paul Qualley, 29 year old Margaret Qualley, reports the Mirror.

While discussing her role in The Substance, mother-of-three Demi confessed: “When I read The Substance I thought, wow, this could be really amazing – or it could be a f—kng disaster. So, of course, I had to say yes.”
She added: “I feel like Ghost was very similar, but I think when we push ourselves out of our comfort zone and it makes us afraid it always makes us a little better. Even if it fails.”
Reflecting, Demi mentioned: “The reviews for Ghost were disastrous.”
